Program Architecture
Program would be organized in 3 phases
STEP 01
REVIEW
Offline review of applications by Crompton leadership. Shortlisting of Startups and Solutions having strong potential.
STEP 02
INVITATION
Invitation to one-on-one business pitch session with Crompton leadership to discuss collaboration opportunities in greater detail.
STEP 03
ONBOARDING
Final selection and onboarding. Selected Startup will get the chance to work with Crompton.

Startup India Platform
The Crompton - Startup India Challenge offers an exciting platform for startups to showcase their innovative ideas, while providing the opportunity to co-create with Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, one of India's leading consumer companies with a legacy spanning over 75 years. In addition to manufacturing, Crompton markets a wide range of consumer products, including fans, lamps, luminaires, pumps, and household appliances like water heaters, coolers, mixer grinders, and irons.
Through this Challenge, Crompton invites technologists, inventors, and startups from the home appliances sector to develop products featuring breakthrough innovations and novel applications. The top startups will be selected to collaborate with Crompton in building a tailor-made prototype. Additionally, these startups will have the chance to become a technology partner or supplier to Crompton.

Any Indian Startups, SMEs, Entrepreneurs and academia
Employees of the Company, its Affiliates, distributors, appointed agency/entity holding the Challenge, their families and immediate relatives are not eligible to participate in the program.
The Challenge is valid for Indian nationals residing in India who are 21 years of age or above
Any of the following stage will be qualified
- Technology or innovation proof of concept (POC) is ready
- Market Ready Product
- Deployed solution which requires further scaling up
The product or technology should be tangible with the expected technology or Innovation
Patented technology will be preferred

What is the Program offering?
- Cash grant of 16 Lakhs for prototype development for innovative idea (each start-up will get max 4 Lakhs)
- Mentoring for prototype and validation

What is the Assessment Criteria/Selection parameters?
- Novelty/Patented concept or product or technology (50% Weightage)
- Feasibility for mass production (25% Weightage)
- Product or technology value proportion (25% Weightage)
Which submissions will be qualified?
- Any of the following stage will be qualified
- Technology or innovation proof of concept (POC) is ready
- Market Ready Product
- Deployed solution which requires further scaling up
- The product or technology should be tangible with the expected technology or Innovation
- Patented technology will be preferred
What are terms and conditions for Winner?
- Tax, if applicable, may be deducted at source from the award money
- The Gratification is not for sale or resale, non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged/redeemed for any other item. Further, apart from entitlement to the Gratification, the winner shall have no other rights or claim against the Company.
